future medicine

The pieces in this series are titled in Latin—a nod to medical terminology—and represent the artist’s prescription for a balanced life that welcomes a diversity of treatments. Rx: Effundo I & II are a much-needed remedy for the fast-paced, and at times chaotic, nature of today’s world—a reminder to release and let go, and to embrace meditative practice. Rx: Otium I & II take this one step further, offering a directive for idleness, as the artist recognizes that the more one stills the mind and body, the more one can ultimately create.

Mothh aims to reinforce the idea that both modern medicine and traditional approaches hold merit—and can become more powerful when used in conjunction. Beyond the intentions imbued in these prescriptions, the artworks are vibrantly colored and boldly patterned, as the artist interprets the importance of incorporating design, color, and aesthetics into private and public environments as a conscious practice for well-being. In doing so, the work underscores the belief that art is vital to our health.

Opulent Earth

An ongoing series of abstract enamel and resin paintings on wood, this body of work draws inspiration from the eight elemental forces of the I Ching. Each piece distills the essence of these ancient archetypes—heaven, earth, thunder, water, mountain, wind, fire, and lake—into color, texture, and form.

The layered, luminous surfaces act as portals for reflection and restoration, echoing the artist’s belief in art as remedy. Through a balance of control and chance, this series becomes a ritual practice—an embodied exploration of harmony, polarity, and transformation, inviting the viewer into a meditative dialogue with nature’s underlying rhythms.
