artist statement

My work is rooted in sensory perception and transformation. I move across disciplines—textiles, painting, and performance—allowing instinct and environment to guide my process. No matter the medium, I create pieces that serve as archives of metamorphosis.

My practice explores the space between meaning and illegibility. It is informed by my interest in transformation—how meaning is translated across mediums, languages, and generations. As the biracial daughter of an Asian immigrant raised in a Southern religious community, I have witnessed transformation as both a necessity and an inheritance: the physical shifts of assimilation, the spiritual shifts of faith and doubt, the unseen ways memory holds its shape.
